Carroll Middle School Students Compete In Mock Trial Regionals

In mid-November, two teams from the Carroll Middle School competed in Regional Mock Trials at the Gateway Hotel and Conference Center in Ames. Sixth and seventh grade students comprised Team Orange and walked away with a one-one record for the day. Team Black, which was seventh and eighth graders, ended up in second place in the competition. Five regional teams with win-win records for the day advanced to the state contest this week at Veteran’s Memorial Convention Center in Des Moines. The Middle School Mock Trial teams are coached by instructor, Kelly Borchers, and local attorney, Eric Neu. Several students received nominations for outstanding performances. A listing of those students as well as all participating members can be found below.
