The Carroll Fire Department was dispatched this afternoon (Tuesday) for a reported vehicle fire between Arcadia and Carroll. According to Fire Chief Dan Hannasch, officials were dispatched at approximately 1:47 p.m. to the intersection of Granite Avenue and Highway 30 outside of Carroll. Officials say a semi had ignited a fire due to an expected electrical issue. Crews were only on the scene for approximately five minutes. By the time firefighters had arrived at the scene, the driver had already extinguished the blaze using safety kit from the vehicle. No injuries were reported. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Carroll Fire Department at the scene.
