The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a breaking and entering case that resulted in a male getting stabbed over this past weekend in Exira. On Friday, April 12, at approximately 10:05 p.m., the Audubon County Sheriff’s Office received a report from a homeowner in the 100 block of E. Depot Street of a male attempting to enter the house. The homeowner did disclose to officials that he had stabbed the individual. Once on scene, deputies identified both parties, whose names will not be released at this time, and the stabbed individual was taken to a hospital for medical attention. No more details have been released as the investigation is still ongoing.
