A New Grand Total Record Was Reached During The 40th Friends Of The Kuemper Ball

At the milestone celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Friends of the Kuemper Ball, a new high grand total was reached. Selling tickets, raffles, and donations to the Kuemper Catholic schools raised a preliminary total of $580,958. But the efforts continued. The live and silent auction, Ball Blitz and the fund a cause to update the cafeteria in the high school, and the grand total added up very quickly. With the ball blitz, the Heider Family Foundation graciously pledged to match the donation amount, up to $10,000, but that number exceeded that with an anonymous donor giving $50,000 towards the end of the night. The Class of 1985 also agreed to a gift-matching challenge, making each auction item sold that night double the value of what it was sold for. With all of the fundraising efforts throughout the night, over $200,000 was raised, bringing the grand total to $804,338. On behalf of all the Legacy Chairs, volunteer members, Kuemper staff, and students, a huge thank you is extended to all the supporters for continuing the legacy of Kuemper Catholic schools. This funding will go towards maintaining teacher/staff pay, technology updates, renovations, and student tuition assistance. The two other popular events of the evening were the Ag and vehicle drawing, thanks to the sponsors of Haley Equipment, Rueter’s, Van Wall Equipment, Champion Ford, Macke Motors, Motor Inn, New Way Ford, Team Auto Group, and Wittrock Motor Company. The winner of the Ag raffle was Wall Lake Lumber, out of Wall Lake. The $25,000 voucher for purchasing a new vehicle went to Diane Nepple with Hair Biz. Again, a huge congratulations to another successful Friends of the Kuemper Ball. Pictures from Saturday’s celebration can be found below.
