The Carroll County Secondary Roads Department is reminding motorists and Sauk Rail Trail users that planned crossing construction work is scheduled to begin today (Tuesday) on 140th Street. The one-mile stretch of road between Granite and Hawthorne Avenues, about two miles south of Breda, will be closed from 10 a.m. on June 25 with a projected end date of Monday, July 1, dependent on favorable weather conditions. Crews are paving the bike path over the gravel. The roadway will be closed to through-traffic for the duration of the project.
