Grassroots organizing group, Iowa Citizens for Community Improvement (ICCI) has scheduled a tour of the state to gather input on how to strengthen the confinement feeding scoring system known as the Master Matrix. Attendees will learn more about the Master Matrix as well as brainstorm ways it could be used to better protect their communities and environment from what ICCI deems as factory farm pollution. Locally the group will be hosting a meeting Tuesday, March 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Lohrville Public Library and again on Thursday, March 30, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Ames Public Library PEO Room.
