A Coon Rapids teenager suffered a possible head injury in a single-vehicle accident near Coon Rapids on Saturday Sept. 5, at approximately 10:21 p.m. Seventeen-year-old Emily Trevinio was eastbound on Highway 141 in a 2009 Chevrolet Malibu when she fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle entered the south ditch and Trevinio was unable to drive the car out. When the Carroll County Sheriff’s office arrived at the scene, she complained of a head injury and was transported to St. Anthony Regional Hospital by Carroll County EMS. There was an estimated $500 damage to the vehicle Trevinio was driving.
