With the Labor Day Holiday and the school board elections, the Carroll County Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting this past Friday morning at the Carroll County Courthouse. In addition to certifying the election, the board heard a report from Carroll County Engineer, Dave Paulson, about this season’s road work and the upcoming billing they would see for the projects.
Paulson used examples, such as the Halbur and Roselle paving, the RISE project near Ralston and the joint project on a section of highway on the Carroll and Crawford County lines as the type being included in this billing cycle. After questions from other supervisors regarding the pavement projects, Paulson added they can expect roughly 25 years of longevity as an average for the new surfaces; but that number can be impacted by the type of vehicles frequently using the roadway.
