In support of the candidates appearing in the second nationally-televised Republican Presidential Debate Wednesday, beginning with the early debate at 5:00 p.m. on CNN, there are several debate watch parties are scheduled throughout the area. Carly Fiorina’s Iowa team has organized a watch party beginning at 6:30 at the Cretsinger Building in Coon Rapids. There will also be a Fiorina party at 6:00 p.m. at Felix and Oscars in Des Moines. Senator Ted Cruz supporters can watch the debate at Famous Dave’s BBQ in West Des Moines with the party getting underway at 6:30 p.m.; and Ben Carson will hold his debate watch party at the Iowa Win Ben Win! office in Johnston. One other major event for GOP candidates will take place on Saturday, Sept. 19, as Senator Rick Santorum, Governor George Pataki, Donald Trump, Governor Bobby Jindal, Governor Mike Huckabee and Senator Ted Cruz will attend the Iowa Faith and Freedom Coalition Fall Dinner and Presidential Forum beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the Paul Knapp Center on the Iowa State Fairgrounds.
