The Carroll County Auditor’s office is reporting that there has already been a good turnout in people submitting absentee ballots for tomorrow’s election and with every city council seat contested, a good voter turnout continues to be anticipated. Running for the second ward is incumbent Tom Tait who says his experience is a plus in the future issues faced by the council.

In the fourth ward, incumbent Carolyn Siemann says that her record speaks for itself, and she will be working to keep Carroll a safe place to live.

Current At-Large council member, Dr. Eric Jensen is the only uncontested city race as he has made a bid for the Mayor’s office for the next two-year term.

With Jensen moving to the Mayoral position, the at-large seat has opened to competition between two candidates. Mike Curtis says he wants to give the people of Carroll options and believes his prior council experiences will be an asset.

The other candidate running for the at-large seat, Brandon Vonnahme says it is time for his generation to begin having a voice in their community and build for the future.

Polls will be opening tomorrow at noon and will remain open until 8:00 p.m. For the Carroll City elections, absentee ballots can be placed for the remainder of today and until 11:00 a.m. tomorrow morning.
