The Sac County Sheriff’s office has reported that three individuals were injured in an explosion at the Proliant plant in Lytton at approximately 6:00 p.m. this evening (Tuesday). Two of those injured were transported to Loring Hospital in Sac City and later transferred to Omaha. The other was transported to Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. Reports indicate the three were welding in one of the storage tanks when the explosion occurred. Names of the injured parties have not yet been released. The Lytton and Sac City Fire Departments and Emergency Medical Services of Sac City, Lake City and Rockwell City assisted at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
