The ballots and voting information to all West Central Cooperative and Farmers Cooperative Company owner members are out and the informational meetings with Milan Kucerak and Jim Chism, CEOs of West Central and FC, are underway. As members review the information and submit their ballots, the leadership from both cooperatives wants to pass on a very important piece of information to those who are owner members of both FC and West Central about the unique situation with their votes. These approximately 700 member accounts will need to do things a little differently and cast two ballots. The blue ballot is for their West Central vote and would go to the auditors in the blue envelopes. The green ballot is for their FC vote and that would get mailed back to auditors in the green envelopes. If any members have misplaced a ballot or need a replacement, they should contact their cooperative location immediately and they will assist with contacting auditors. Ballots can also be hand delivered to auditors at the member meetings, a full listing of which can be found at wccgrow15.com or fcgrow15.com. It is important that this group submits both ballots as, by Iowa law, more than 50 percent of each membership must cast ballots for the vote to be valid. Ballots must be received no later than noon on Friday, Dec. 18 in the auditors Des Moines office. A special meeting to tally the votes will be held on Dec. 18.
