In 2015, Linking Families and Communities of Fort Dodge earned Model Status on the Levels of Excellence rating system, which measures success towards reaching identified goals in community planning, annual reports, board operations, public awareness, quality programming, adherence to state regulations and fiduciary soundness of the agency. The key priorities identified for the organizational objectives in 2016 includes education to families on parenting and child development, the quality of child care in the communities they serve, mental health and providing access to resources. Linking Families and Communities is a non-profit organization that provides services to families in the counties of Calhoun, Pocahontas and Webster. They work with state and local communities to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of early care, education and health and human services to families with children ages zero to five.
