Letters from the City of Carroll have gone out to residents and businesses located along portions of High Ridge Road and Third Street. Director of Public Works, Randy Krauel said these are invitations for a meeting on Monday, March 7, to discuss two construction projects in those areas.
With the projects slated to get underway this construction season, the City of Carroll wanted to not only provide information, but give those affected answers to their questions.
Work on High Ridge Road will include sidewalk installation as well as storm sewer work and will allow residents to tie their sump pumps into the new storm sewer system. Krauel said this option is available to help with the sump pump drainage issues that are created nearly every year. The Third Street project, he said, will be to address low points along the street that flood frequently.
The Carroll City Council is holding their public hearing for the Fiscal Year 2017 budgets beginning at 5:15 p.m. that evening and will close that meeting before beginning the resident discussion. They are expecting the budget hearing to close at 5:45 p.m. at the earliest. Residents and businesses affected have all been invited by these letters, all other public members are welcome to attend as well.
