Three vehicles were damaged in an accident on Saturday afternoon, but no serious injuries were reported. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene at the intersection of Head and Gault Streets in Arcadia at approximately 12:56 p.m. Eighty-two-year-old Betty Rose Schechinger of Carroll was making a right turn onto Gault in a 2015 Toyota Rav4 and failed to yield the right of way to a 2000 GMC Jimmy driven by 55-year-old Jane Marie Headley of Breda. The Headley vehicle struck the side of the Schechinger vehicle which then crossed the center lane into northbound traffic where it struck a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 25-year-old Chelsie Elizabeth Riedell of Arcadia. Headley and Riedell did not report injuries, while Schechinger complained of possible injuries but was not transported for treatment. There was an estimated $3,500 damage to Riedell’s vehicle, $2,500 damage to the Headley vehicle and Schechinger’s Rav4 was estimated to have $11,000 in damages. Schechinger was cited for Failure to Obey a Stop Sign.
