Over 450 American Home Shield employees responded to requests from the AHS Fun Committee to decorate their desks with new stuffed animals, mainly bunnies, for the month of March. Those toys were then donated to children receiving care at St. Anthony Regional Hospital over the Easter weekend. On Good Friday, representatives from American Home Shield presented the toys to St. Anthony staff from the medical-surgical-pediatric unit. The toys were then given to children that are patients in the emergency department, the surgery center or the medical-surgical-pediatric unit. “The entire staff thanks the AHS employees who joined together to brighten the day for the children,” said St. Anthony Development Director, Trish Roberts. “A hospital visit can be frightening for a child, and this is a special way to help them feel more comfortable.”
