Supervisors Set Public Hearing For Road Classification Change

The Carroll County Board of Supervisors reviewed a petition received from land owners near Noble Ave., south of Highway 141, to the southwest of Dedham. A formal request is being made to change the current Level B roadway to a Level C and install a gate to help prevent issues that have arisen with vehicles becoming stuck in portions of the roadway. There was one adjacent landowner, however, who had yet to sign the petition. Carroll County Engineer, Dave Paulson, said he still needed a signature from Carroll County to move ahead. He added they would need to follow an ordinance set forth to handle the classification change.

Supervisor Chair, Neil Bock signed the petition on behalf of the county and a public meeting was scheduled for 10 a.m. on Monday, May 9, to discuss the classification change of the road from Level B to Level C.
