The new Fiscal Year for the City of Carroll will begin on July 1, 2016, and at the recent City Council meeting, City Clerk and Finance Director, Laura Schaefer, explained a top-of-range salary resolution the council would need to review and approve for the upcoming year.
Schaefer explained that the recommendation is to set the non-union full-time position adjustment at 2.75 percent, which reflects the police union contract. Part-time positions are adjusted accordingly for new hires and retention of current employees. There was also a cost-of-living adjustment factored into the salary budget for next year.
The board approved the salary and the cost-of-living adjustments to cover the additional healthcare expenses. A full listing of the city employee’s hourly rates and salaries can be found below.
