Carroll County Supervisors Approve Arcadia Shed

Carroll County Engineer, Dave Paulson, brought a request to the Carroll County Supervisors for a new maintenance shed in Arcadia. Paulson said he had budgeted for building the structure in the last fiscal year, but the project did not get done. He has included the building in the budget for Fiscal Year 2017, which begins July 1 of this year. Paulson said he has planned for a 40 x 50 foot building, similar to what was built in Manning and at a comparable cost.

Paulson told the supervisors they had been able to save money by doing their own electrical work, which they will do in the Arcadia shed as well. He would also consider doing a portion of the plumbing and would look at a different heating system and/or types of insulation for efficiency. Paulson said he had plans to place the new building on the Arcadia site so that the current building could remain.

The supervisors approved a motion for Paulson to get the plans and specifications ready for the project to be put out for bids. He is expecting they will be able to secure bids from three to four contractors.
