Authorities in Denison are conducting an investigation into a body found in a residence last Thursday morning. At approximately 11:30 a.m. the Denison Police Department received a 911 call and responded to 1519 2nd Ave. North and found 38-year-old Shelly Snavely deceased within the residence. An autopsy was performed by the State Medical Examiner in Ankeny on Friday, but no signs of inflicted trauma were found. Results of toxicology testing are pending. The death remains under investigation by the Denison Police Department, the Crawford County Attorney’s Office, the Iowa Department of Public Safety’s Division of Criminal Investigation and the Iowa Office of State Medical Examiner.
