A driver reported only minor injuries, but her vehicle was totaled in a rollover accident at approximately 1:40 p.m. on Monday, June 27 on Velvet Ave., just north of Highway 141 in Coon Rapids. Nineteen-year-old Lauren Kay Garnes of Coon Rapids told Carroll County Sheriff Deputies that the tire of her 2003 Mercury Sable fell off the roadway and onto the shoulder. She lost control and entered the east ditch, hitting a field entrance which caused the vehicle to roll onto its roof. The driver was not transported for medical treatment and there was an estimated $4,000 in damage to the Garnes vehicle.
