Carroll Chamber Welcomes Rossiter As New Program Director

Just last Wednesday, July 27, the Carroll Chamber of Commerce welcomed a new member, Joseph (Joe) Rossiter, as he began his role as the Program Director. This, however, wasn’t Rossiter’s first experience in working with the Carroll Chamber.

Rossiter was a senior at Iowa State University at the time of his internship, majoring in advertising with a minor in consumer behavior. He said he was extremely pleased when he received a call from Executive Director, Shannon Landauer, in June about interviewing for the position. He said he is coming into the role at a very busy time of year for the Chamber, which has made it an exciting experience already.

Rossiter grew up in Newell and is a 2012 graduate of Newell-Fonda High School, but is familiar with Carroll as his 94-year-old grandfather is still a resident here. He is currently working to find housing and get settled in as one of the newest members of the Carroll community while he continues to learn and get organized with the Chamber. Rossiter is filling the position that opened up with the retirement of long-time director, Sue Schrad in December of 2015.
