Touted as the second largest Democratic political event in the state of Iowa, the annual Iowa Democratic Wing Ding will take place this Friday, Aug. 12 at 5 p.m. in the Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake. The theme for this year’s event is “Democrats: Moving Iowa and the USA Forward.” Featured speakers include former Lt. Gov. and Senate candidate, Patty Judge and Kim Weaver, who is running for the fourth district Congressional seat. The annual Beacon Award will also be presented at the event.
