Early Saturday morning, the Greene County Sheriff’s Office began receiving reports of a female attempting to enter several homes in the 200 block of 3rd Street in Rippey without the homeowner’s consent. A deputy responded at 5:07 a.m., and after an initial investigation, arrested 37-year-old Melisa Marie Kroupa of Granger. Kroupa has been charged with: interference with official acts, a simple misdemeanor; burglary of a motor vehicle in the third degree, an aggravated misdemeanor; and attempted burglary in the second degree, a class D felony.
