Two Teenagers Taken To Hospital After Single Vehicle Accident

Two teenagers were taken to the Audubon County Memorial Hospital (ACMH) after a single-vehicle rollover accident last Sunday, Aug. 28. The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene at approximately 11 a.m. where they discovered a 1981 Chevrolet truck in the ditch. Nineteen-year-old William Roland Brubaker of Audubon was travelling westbound on 200th Street about two miles west of Audubon. As he approached the crest of a hill, he lost control of the vehicle, and it slid into the ditch. After entering the ditch, the truck rolled and came to a rest on its passenger side. Brubaker and his passenger, 16-year-old Andrea Stevens of Audubon, were transported to ACMH by Audubon Rescue. There was an estimated $2,000 in damages to the truck, and Brubaker was cited for failure to maintain control.
