Carroll DMACC Student To Speak At New York Summit

A Carroll Des Moines Area Community College (DMACC) student has been selected to speak at the annual Opportunity Nation Summit in New York City on Saturday, Sept. 10. Twenty-four-year-old Alexius Ridenour, an education student and member of the DMACC Honors Program and the Phi Theta Kappa International Honor Society, will join DMACC President, Rob Denson at the conference. Denson is co-chair of the Opportunity Nation Leadership Council. Ridenour is from Bondurant and currently lives in Jefferson. The National Opportunity Summit gathers together a bipartisan selection of business and community leaders and young adults to work toward the goal of expanding economic opportunities. An invitation to the presidential candidates has been extended for their participation in this event.
