The Governor’s STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) Advisory Council along with Kemin Industries announce the third annual I.O.W.A. STEM Teacher Award. Nominations are open now through Friday, Oct. 14. One full-time, licensed K-12 teacher from each of the six STEM regions in Iowa will be recognized for their passion in motivating students to develop lasting interests in STEM both in and out of the classroom. Each of the teachers selected will receive $1,500 for themselves and an additional $1,500 for their classroom. Anyone can make a nomination. The instructor nominated will then be asked to fill out an application for review by a panel of judges. Honorees will be announced in the spring of 2017. To make a nomination, follow the link below.
