On Tuesday, Sept. 20, the Carroll Library/City Hall committee will be meeting at 5:15 p.m. in the city hall council chambers for a review of the initial concept plans for the expansion of the Carroll Public Library. OPN Architects, Inc. has been contracted to evaluate the viability of renovation of the gifted Commercial Savings Bank building on North Adams Street to accommodate either the city offices or a new library. OPN has also evaluated the space available for library expansion in the current building with the city offices relocated to Adams Street. In February of this year, Pat Moehn, along with Paul, Ryan and Tam Milligan presented the gift of the Commercial Savings Bank building to the city as a resolution to the long-standing controversy of the library expansion.
