Carroll City Council Will Review And Discuss City Manager Contract Monday

The Carroll City Council will be holding their regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, Sept. 26, and one of the items on the agenda is to review and discuss the contract presented to Michel Pogge-Weaver for the position as Carroll City Manager. At their last meeting on Sept. 12, the council approved the conditional offer made to Pogge-Weaver that was contingent on the completion of background testing, physical and drug testing and reference checks. All of these have now been successfully completed and the formal contract can be presented. Negotiations with Pogge-Weaver have resulted in the offer of an annual salary of $105,000 and associated benefits as outlined in the city personnel policies. Pogge-Weaver will also receive a $200 per month automobile allowance and up to $4,000 in reimbursement for expenses incurred in the move from his current home in Benson, Minn. to Carroll. According to the presented agreement, the contract will become effective on Oct. 24, and will be valid until the end of this fiscal year on June 30, 2017. The City Council will meet at 5:15 p.m. Monday in council chambers on the second floor of City Hall.
