Faith-based charity, Convoy of Hope, has been fulfilling their mission of bringing together organizations and community members to support those in need since 1994. They will be partnering with the Sioux City community this Saturday, Oct. 1, providing an estimated $1 million in food, goods and services. This free event will bring hope to many through free groceries, health services, haircuts, family portraits, job services, a kid’s zone, hot meals, veteran’s services and much more. Convoy of Hope is also working with Plum Organics to distribute organic foods specifically created for babies, toddlers and school-aged children. The gates will open at the Sioux City Convention Center at 10 a.m. on Saturday, rain or shine, and supplies will be available while they last. Everyone is welcome to attend this free event and no I.D. is required.
