Iowa State University (ISU) will be hosting a high ranking executive in the Ag industry at the 2016 William K. Deal Endowed Leadership Lecture. The Executive Vice President of DuPont, Jim Collins, will be presenting his lecture, “Growth Comes When You Least Expect It”, next Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 7 p.m. in the Richard and Joan Stark Lecture Hall room in the Gerdin Business Building on ISU’s campus in Ames. Collins began working at DuPont Manufacturing in 1984 as an engineer and was recently named to the executive vice president role earlier this year in January. He graduated from Christian Brothers College in Memphis, Tenn. With a degree in chemical engineering and also has an MBA from the University of Delaware. Collins serves on the advisory board for the University of Delaware’s Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics and the board of trustees for the Hagley Museum and Library. The lecture, named after ISU alum William K. Deal, was established to help prepare future leaders and innovators in agriculture.
