No Injuries When Car Collides With Terra-Gator

A car collided with a terra-gator last Thursday, Nov. 10 on Ivy Ave., near 140th Street west of Mt. Carmel. At approximately 12:16 p.m., a 1998 Mercedes 230, driven by 70-year-old Jerome Philip Elston of Breda, was traveling southbound on Ivy Ave. when it went to pass a 2016 Caterpillar 8400 Terra-Gator, driven by 37-year-old Chris Michael Schultz of Carroll. The terra-gator was negotiating a left turn into a farm field drive and the vehicles collided in that driveway. Elston claims the terra-gator’s left turn signal was not on, and Schultz says the turn signal was activated. No injuries were reported for either driver or the passenger in the Mercedes, Barbara Lynne Elston. There was an estimated $500 in damage to the terra-gator and $5,000 to the Elston vehicle. The Carroll County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
