Lake City native, Jill Heisterkamp, has been selected as the new Executive Director of the Calhoun County Economic Development Corporation. (CCEDC). Heisterkamp assumed the duties effective Oct. 31, and will be focusing on implementing the new strategic plan announced last August as well as managing the revolving loan fund and supporting economic and business development throughout the county. “I am excited to return to my roots in Calhoun County and give back to the community where I grew up,” said Heisterkamp. She believes that making connections among people, businesses and resources is key to growth, and she is happy to be able to share what she has learned throughout her career in the Kansas City area. Heisterkamp has over 15 years of marketing and communications experience, having spent 12 years living and working in the Kansas City metro area before starting her own consulting and copywriting business. She recently returned to Iowa and worked in the marketing and communications department at Buena Vista University. “We are pleased to welcome Jill,” said John Hepp, president of the CCEDC board. “We believe that her experience will bring a new perspective and insight to our economic and county development initiatives and we are excited for her to get rolling in this position.”
