Sac City Administrator Resigns After Accepting Another City Position

Sac City Administrator, Adam Ledford, will be leaving his position with the city after accepting a job as city administrator for Marion, Ky. Ledford tendered his resignation at a special city council meeting earlier this month. Sac City will be without an administrator for about two months, but they have plans for that time.

Ledford began as city administrator in 2007, and says it is difficult to leave a place you have worked at for so long.

Over his nearly 10-year-long career, he says it is difficult to think of his proudest accomplishment with the city. After a little thought, he says bringing people together is always a high point.

Ledford and his wife, Brandie, both were raised near the area they are relocating, and he is looking forward to having family closer to his eight-year-old son, Charlie. His last official day with Sac City will be Dec. 16. He says the city hopes to have the vacancy filled by the end of February, which leaves a two month gap in the city administrator position.
