This Friday, Nov. 18, Roseanne Nees, business development director for the Carroll Chamber of Commerce, and Carroll City Manager, Michel Pogge-Weaver, will join other area leaders at the Iowa Rural Development Summit at Wild Rose Jefferson. Over 100 Iowa communities have been invited to participate in the summit, that has a 2016 theme of “Inspire, Inform, Involve, Implement.” Featured speakers include Charles Fluharty, who is the founder, President and CEO of the Rural Policy Research Institute, and Don Macke, the co-founder of the Center for Rural Entrepreneurship. Groups will be exploring the “Pathways to Prosperity,” and outlining goals for the short and long term about what their teams can do on that pathway.
