A Fort Dodge Man escaped injury in a single-vehicle accident that occurred at approximately 7:23 a.m. yesterday (Wednesday) near 300th Street on Highway 4 south of Jefferson. Thirty-five-year-old Benjamin James Vrieze was northbound in a 2004 Chevrolet Impala when he lost control of the vehicle and it entered the east ditch. Vrieze found a ride to Jefferson after the accident, and was later located by the Greene County Sheriff’s Office and issued citations for failure to maintain control, driving while suspended and failure to prove accident-related security against liability.
