On Monday. Nov. 21, several political experts will be discussing what happened in this year’s Iowa Caucuses and the election. David Yepsen, former director of the Paul Simon Public Policy Institute and a political columnist for the Des Moines Register will be joined by a panel of experts including: pollster, Ann Selzer; current Register political columnist, Kathie Obradovich; founding editor of the Iowa Republican, Craig Robinson, Democratic consultant, Jeff Link; and former Democratic Congressman and chair of the Iowa Democratic Party’s task force, Dave Nagle. The evening will begin at the State Historical Building in Des Moines with a reception from 5 to 5:30 p.m. followed by a discussion that will seek to find answers to what happened this year, how a political outsider rose through the ranks of the 2016 Iowa Caucuses to win the keys to the White House and why were national pollsters so wrong. The event is free and open to the public.
