The holiday season starts in full swing this week with Thanksgiving only a few days away, and the First United Methodist Church in Carroll is kicking off their Carroll Cares! Community Toy Drive. The church is collecting donation of money, new toys, or new clothing during the drive, and all items donated will help those in need within Carroll County’s borders. Toys and clothing are needed for children up to 16 years of age. Items can be dropped off under the toy tree at the Methodist church at 1621 North Main Street under the toy tree or picked up by volunteers by calling 712-830-2492 or 712-792-1122. Donations are due by Friday, Dec. 2.
