Region XII Council of Governments is holding a training workshop on the legal requirements of open records and open meetings. On Thursday, Dec. 1, Jeff Schott with the Institute of Public Affairs will provide the training for members of city boards and commissions at the Region XII training room at 1009 East Anthony Street in Carroll. The program will present basic laws and concepts applying to open meetings and public records along with gifts and conflict-of interest laws, duties and responsibilities. The evening will begin with a dinner at 5:30 p.m. and the program will start at 6 p.m. There is a $15 fee per person. Seating is limited and registration is required.
