Denison To Present Honors To Local Citizens During Caroling Festivities

Gov. Terry Branstad and Lt. Gov. Kim Reynolds will be providing a certificate of recognition to three Denisonindividuals and one organization for their outstanding contributions to their local communities. Jeanette Venzke and Judy Giesrstorff with the Denison Job Corps Center, Matt Hildebrand of the Denison Hy-Vee and a representative from Florist Distributing’s Des Moines Branch will be presented the certificates during the 9th annual Christmas Caroling Festivity by the directors and participants of the event. Carolers will perform Thursday, Dec. 8, at all four Denison senior care centers, beginning at the Denison Care Center at 6:15 p.m. They will then travel to Eventide Lutheran Home at 7 p.m., to Silveridge Assisted Living Center at 7:45 p.m. and then to Reed House at 8:30. Music books and refreshments will be provided for participants and 600 fresh flowers will be presented to residents and their care-givers.
