At 4:34 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 4, a young family and the staff at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital (SMCH) in Lake City welcomed their first baby of 2017. Holly Marie Shaw was born to Rebecca and Jordan Shaw of Rolfe, weighing in at 8 pounds 1 ounce and measuring 20 inches long. She was delivered by family practice and obstetrics physician, Dr. Susan Hornbeck. To commemorate the birth Holly and her family received a basket filled with gifts, including: diapers and healthcare-related supplies; clothing; books; sleep bags; toys; and baby albums from a variety of individuals, including SMCH employees, the auxiliary, the Community Pharmacy and the Lake City Food Center. Holly is joined at home by a big brother, Mark.
