The 87th General Assembly for Iowa’s Legislature convened on Monday, Jan. 9, and now that they are in full swing, the Carroll Chamber of Commerce Legislative Forums will get underway this weekend. On Saturday, Jan. 28, Senator Mark Segebart and Iowa House Representative Brian Best will convene the first forum at 10 a.m. at the New Hope activities building, located at 1211 East 18th Street in Carroll. The public is invited and encouraged to attend the one hour forum to hear about the latest issues being discussed and to ask questions about the priorities for the upcoming year. The forums will be held approximately every two weeks at different locations throughout Carroll County. A full schedule can be found with this story on our website.
