Have you ever wondered what you would do in the event of a fire, flood, tornado or other disaster that forced an evacuation of your home? What do you have prepared and ready for such an emergency? What would you and should you take with you? Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach wants to help you answer those questions and to be prepared if an emergency does arise. Bring your sack lunch to the Carroll County Extension office at 1205 W. U.S. Highway 30, and learn how to make your own grab-and-go file case on Wednesday, Feb. 1 from noon to 1 p.m. Jan Monahan and Brenda Schmitt, family finance specialists, will also present facts and offer tips and tricks for keeping your identity safe. There is a $5 fee for this lunch-and-learn event. Pre-registration is requested and can be done by calling 792-2364.
