Audubon Man Facing Attempted Murder Charges After Altercation Thursday Night

An Audubon man is facing attempted murder charges after an altercation Thursday night. Twenty-five-year-old Austin Michael Greve has also been charged with going armed with intent, willful injury and burglary in the first degree. According to Audubon Police Chief, Matt Starmer, the department responded to a report at approximately 9:34 p.m. in the 300 block of South Division Street in Audubon to find two men involved in a physical argument. Weapons were used during the fight, and as authorities detained Greve, 25-year-old Joshua Robert Bowen, who was injured, was provided with emergency medical assistance. Starmer said there will be no further information released at this time, but authorities are confident this is an isolated incident and there is no danger to the public. The Audubon County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigations are assisting with the case.
