The driver was uninjured, but his vehicle was totaled in a single-vehicle accident yesterday (Thursday) morning. At approximately 8:48 a.m., the Carroll County Sheriff’s Office reported to the scene on Treasure Road, near Timber Ave. southwest of Lanesboro. Twenty-six-year-old Michael William Euchner of Denison was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt eastbound on Treasure Road when he said he swerved to miss a deer that had run onto the roadway. Euchner entered the south ditch, struck a fence and then managed to cross over the roadway, entering the north ditch where he struck another fence. There was an estimated $4,500 in damage to the Euchner vehicle and $200 in fence damages.
