Iowa Pork Producers Association Partners With The Iowa Department of Agriculture And Land Stewardship To Cost Share Water Quality Technology With Producers

The Iowa Pork Producers Association (IPPA) is partnering with the Iowa Department of Agriculture and Land Stewardship (IDALS) to offer additional cost sharing dollars to pig farmers to encourage installation of nutrient loss reduction systems. IPPA is now providing up to $25,000 throughout the year to offset 50 percent of the costs for pig farmers to install saturated buffers or bioreactors on their land. Sites selected for cost sharing will be chosen based on the greatest opportunity for nitrate reduction and will be geographically dispersed across Iowa. Producers interested in the program can submit basic farm information for project consideration or request more information about eligibility through the contact points and links included below.
