Region XII Council of Governments, Region XII Development Corporation and COG Government Housing have released the results of their 2016 audit. Certified Public Accountant, John D. Morrow, reported the organizations revenues at $6.1 million, a 4.18 percent increase from 2015. The majority of the income came from Federal and State agencies, public support, fees, contributions, matching funds, loan repayments and interest on investments and loans. Expenditures for the organizations outpaced the revenue, however, coming in at $6.23 million, a 10 percent increase over 2015. These included more than $2.3 million for Rural Transit programs and planning, $4.4 million for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act and just shy of $1.2 million for affordable housing and housing assistance programs.
