Mass of the Christian Burial for 99 year old John A. Behrens of Carroll will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m., at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Carroll. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Carroll. Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 3 p.m. on Wednesday where there will be a rosary at 4 p.m. by the Carroll Knights of Columbus and a Christian Wake Service at 6 p.m. Visitation will resume at the church after 9:30 Thursday morning until time of Mass. John Behrens is survived by his children: Cletus of Carroll, Jerry of Denison, Kathy Grote of Wall Lake, Aggie Kitt of Dedham, Gary of Arnolds Park, Wayne of Denison, Daryl of Muscatine, Nancy Reiling of Lake View, John E. of Carroll & Artie of Maquoketa….34 grandchildren….69 great grandchildren…..8 great great grandchildren…..and 2 sisters: Mary Ausman and Irene Brincks, both of Carroll.
