A Boone man was arrested last night (Thursday) in Jefferson after a large amount of marijuana was found in his vehicle. Eighteen-year-old Dominic Michael Auxier was stopped for a traffic violation in the 200 block of West Lincolnway Street. The officer noticed a strong pungent odor and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle, which uncovered the marijuana. Auxier has been charged with possession of a controlled substance—marijuana—a class D felony, failure to provide proof of financial liability and failure to display registration plate.
