The first ever Audubon Alumni Tournament fundraiser is being sponsored by the Audubon High School Junior Class and the Dance Team. Amanda Knuth and Lynn Spies are spearheading the event and say this is a fun activity for alumni, their spouses, employees of the district and community members to participate in while also helping to raise funds for these school groups. The day-long tournament will include women’s volleyball and men’s basketball tournaments in both gyms at the Audubon High School on Saturday, March 25. Deadline for early registration is this coming Friday, March 3. Teams registering by Friday will be guaranteed a t-shirt. Early registration costs are $25 if mailed-in or $26 if done online through Paypal. Registrations after March 3 will be $30 for mailed and walk-in registrations and $31 for online payments. Late registration the day of the tournament will be held from 8 to 8:30 a.m. Play will begin at 9 a.m. The Audubon Sports Boosters will be offering concessions throughout the day and those wearing a tournament t-shirt will be eligible for food and drink specials with participating area merchant sponsors.
